Not that you won′t be able to buy this thing from carriers here shortly, but there’s just nothing quite like being the first on your block to own a new handset. For those with cash to burn and an insatiable desire to play with RIM’s forthcoming Kickstart 8220, look no further than eBay. Up for auction right now is an unlocked version of the aforesaid mobile, but it looks as if the final bid will end up well over a grand. Good luck (being patient).

Like Canada, Mexico’s getting mobile payments, too, but these are just a bit different in two very important respects. One, this is a full-fledged service being underwritten by Telefonica, Iusacell, Citibank, and BBVA — not just a trial. Two, unlike the NFC-based Canadian system, this one will rely on text messages to get the cash flowing. The service is expected to launch in the next few months and get backing from restaurants, stores, and taxis, all places where we can recall specific times when we would’ve rather kept our wallets in our pockets when the time came to pony up. Of course, considering how miserably unsuccessful mobile payments have been across North America so far (we’ve still got our fingers crossed that NFC is going to take off one of these days), this one could die off as quickly as it started unless it catches a break and goes big.

HTC continues to let out phones supporting 3G, and its next novelty - not from cheap.
Taiwan company HTC well has recommended itself, making a handheld computer (for example, Compaq iPaq) and smart phones from OS Windows Mobile (for example, XDA). Its last product HTC S740 is intended for the people many working with texts and mail on the move. Its main advantage - the leaving keyboard QWERTY transforming the smart phone in the device with horizontal QVGA by the screen by a diagonal of 2,4 inches. Besides the keyboard the device has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, slot for expansions of memory MicroSD and 3,2-MPix camera with an auto focus. The sizes of the smart phone - 116.3 x 43.4 x 16.3 mm, weight - 140g.
The given model is little bit simplified HTC Touch Pro, in it there is no touch screen and thanks to it the device became appreciable thinner.
HTC plans to start S740 in Great Britain next month, but the price while holds back.

Once the floppy-disk drive was expensive enough device, and to store various programs and games for household computers, such as, for example, ZX Spectrum, it was necessary on usual recorder cartridges. On one cartridge was located about 1-2 Mb of data. Today it, of course, practically nothing, but for computers about 48 KB of operative memory - quite decent volume.
For those who yet has not forgotten those times, it will be pleasant to hear about such gadget, as Mixa Tape. In appearance it is the usual compact cartridge, however enough easy movement for occurrence UsB-connecotr transforming thus Mixa Tape in the USB-store. The volume of the built in memory of the device makes only 1 Gb, you however could write down 250 musical compositions on the usual cartridge?
There is this gadget about 40 dollars, and complete with it the set of labels, a lengthening USB-lace and an excellent box is delivered.
