Make Serious Money From Your Clicked Pictures!
Do friends and family ever tell you that you take great photographs? If you have ever been told that your photos are amazing then you could use your camera to earn a very good income. I have no doubt that you would be simply astounded at just how many people, all over the world, are looking to purchase creative and unique photographs. If you would like to earn some extra cash all you need to do is take quality photos and market them to those who are looking to purchase them. If you believe that this opportunity is right for you here are some ways you can use your camera to earn serious cash.
The first step is to look around and figure out what types of photos are in demand. Look through magazines and on the Internet and find out what types of photos and the quality of the photos themselves. I recommend you try and determine how the photos were taken, what was required to achieve the look and the quality. At the back of magazines, or at the bottom of the photo, you will see the names of the agencies used for the different photos, write these names down as well as names of other agencies that are in constant need of pictures (an Internet search can provide some answers). For example, take a sports magazine. If you see photos in that magazine that might match with photos you have taken, you may want to write to the magazine, sending examples of your work, perhaps 20-25 photocopies of your photos that are along the same line as what you saw in the magazine. If this is not possible I recommend you attempt to contact the photo editor and send copies of your work.
Another place you may want to look is at insurance and mortgage companies. These types of companies often are looking for freelance photographers who can photograph residences, apartments, recreational malls, etc. You can easily earn extra income by photographing these properties. The nice thing about this is that it can be done part time. Choosing the appropriate location and time is at your discretion.
You can also do online research to see who is looking for freelance photographers. If you do a Google search using the keywords “freelance photographers required” should pull up a variety of sites to give you information on who is looking for photos. Stock photography sites are another option. These sites market photographs from all over the world to potential buyers. This is a pretty competitive field so you will definitely want to make sure you are only submitting your very best work to avoid the chance of permanent rejection of your pictures. Once your photos are accepted you will also want to ensure they are the most viewed. This is done by choosing the appropriate keywords to describe your photos so they will appear at the top of the list in any search engine.
It is definitely up to you how much money you earn in this business. If you do your research and base your photos on the same level of quality that you see in the magazines and stock photography sites you will do well. Keep your photos sharp with no blurred elements. Avoid photographing logos or corporate signs. And always practice to keep up your skill. You can turn your passion for photographing into your profession and earn an incredible income, all it takes is a bit of work in the beginning then you can sit back and watch the money roll in.
