New And Better Features With Blu Ray Movies

Monday, February 1st, 2010 | 41 views

Eventually, as technology advances, the old formats will die and new formats will emerge. The latest winner in the distribution format war was Blu ray movies, which triumphed over HD-TV discs last year.

With a number of exclusive studio deals, these discs can take film watching to new heights with their massive storage capacity. These new movies are intended to reach out to Generation-Y movie fans with social networking and movies games, as well as their downloadable features and interactive menus.

Of course, not everyone feels these Blu ray movies bonus features are necessary. “I’m not sure if people really want games and trivia,” admits Shoot Em Up producer Rober Meyer Burnett.

Some consumers may feel irritated that they′re expected to buy a new machine to play new movies. Yet, the shift has been gradual to calm dissent and there are many great features that Blu ray technology offers.

For instance, creators are looking at releasing DVDs with a re-writable storage section so consumers can download updated bonus material (rather than buy anniversary editions and subsequent releases).

Secondly, top movies will be seen in higher definition and 7.0 Surround Sound (compared to the old Dolby Digital 5.0). Many people are choosing to buy the PlayStatioя, which plays blu ray dvd movies and also allows users to surf the web, listen to music, store data and play video games.

According to movies news analysts, other blu ray movies features may include space to bookmark Internet pages and add downloaded movie bonuses, the ability to look up movie theater times and contribute to interactive movie blogs.

There will likely be additional options for viewing subtitles, angle alternates and video-in-video modes. Graphics and menu options will look more like a computer or DISH Network menu than a traditional DVD menu.

Now that the cost of these discs is coming down, it seems people are willing to buy Blu ray movies now.

In the coming months, a number of anticipated Blu ray movies disc releases will come out, including: A Charlie Brown Christmas, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Wolf/Brahm Stoker’s Dracula/Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein trilogy, Iron Man, Land of the Lost, Van Helsing, Godzilla, Forrest Gump, It’s A Wonderful Life, the Rocky collection, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Clerks, Chasing Amy, Logan′s Run, Fight Club, Star Trek (2009) and Gone With the Wind.

The ability to buy movies that are trilogies all in one affordable set (on one disc) is enticing. Also, since many of these releases were made years ago, there is no real push to crank them out quickly, thus compromising bonus material. You can find many innovative bonuses and featurettes on the new versions.

“Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen” is another excellent title to own on Blu ray, especially if you love action.

Since the beginning of human evolution on Earth, nightlife entertainment has always been present. Even when we were primitive tribes, we were celebrating by dancing around fires together at night. With technology innovation, nightlife entertainment has evolved greatly in the past centuries…

Today in 2009, nightclubs and rave events are a really powerfull business. They aren’t just a buisiness, they are a way to relax, to socialize, to have fun, to express ourself in a different way, etc. Modern technology has enabled us to create an increadibly awesome nightlife experience for the modern clubbers and ravers. It all started with the basic instruments to create music and fire to create light effects. Later on, electronic evolution gave us the amazing techno music. In pure techno music, there are not vocalizations or sounds that are made by anything other than electronic devices. It started to become popular in certain clubs after its creation, which is said to have taken place in the 1980’s in Detroit. At the beginning, their was disco music. And then, their was house music. Finally, the techno music was invented. The synthesizer is the dominant musical instrument of the techno music. Their is many different style of techno music that are very popular in the nightlife entertainment scene: psytrance, drum and bass, funky, acid, happy, ambiant…

Here are the top D.J.s in the world today:

  • Tiësto
  • Markus Schulz

  • Paul Van Dyk
  • Gareth Emery

What is the amazing innovation strategy that made this evolution of the nightlife entertainment possible? First, their is the invention of the transistor in 1947 by John Bardeen, William Shockley, and Walter Brattain. A couple of years later, a Japanese manufacturer of electronic musical instruments introduced the Roland TR-808. In the late seventies and early eighties, Roland seemed specialize in electronic music instruments that were under appreciated while they were in production, but it quickly became the classics. The Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer was one of the first programmable drum machines. The term “TR” serving as an abbreviation for transistor rhythm.

By combining this music with various light effects in the clubs, we get an increadible atmosphere where anyone can dance and celebrate. It’s in our genes to celebrate like this, we did it for centuries. It’s just that the way we do it has been changed dramatically by technology. In my opinion, it’s a very good thing. The invention of the laser also greatly changed the nightlife scene. The laser was invented in 1958 at Bells labs. Since then, the little device evolved very rapidly to create special lighting effects in any parties.

Every big city around the globe has beautiful clubs and rave events going on… A question we could be asking here is: where is the nightlife entertainment capital on the globe? The anwser is definitely: IBIZA! It is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain. Clubbing wise, it just doesn’t get bigger or better than Ibiza; the most grandiose and spectacular range of clubs anywhere in the world every serious DJ and promoter around and a relentless summer clubbing agenda.

Here are a couple of clubs that you should visit if you have the chance to go in Ibiza:

Video Streaming Through Your Cell Phone

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 | 118 views

As each day goes by, we become more and more amazed at the various tools your cell phone can handle. Our cell phones have become substitutes for calendars, cameras, and computers. Now, our mobile devices also allow us to participate in the worldwide phenomenon of online video streaming.

For example, one of our editors’ daughters came running up one day with her iPhone, and showed us one of her favorite YouTube videos (it was a cockatiel dancing to latin music). We wondered how popular video searching is for cell phone users, and boy, were we surprised by the results.

You see, viral videos online have taken the world by storm. It is a common conversation starter: ”Have you seen that video where…” or “My favorite video is…”. When iPhone users found out they had YouTube search capability, other cell phone users quickly became, well, jealous.

Now, other free AT&T Samsung phones have video searching capability, along with other free video phones. We uncovered several of the hottest new tools for both video searching and video viewing using your cell phone, and have gone into detail about each.

First, YouTube is no longer just for the iPhone. The new YouTube for Mobile downloadable app is in beta version, but supports the Sony Ericsson k800 and w880 along with the Nokia e65, ⭗, ⭁, 6110 navigator and the 6120 classic.

Second, there are an awful lot of places out there to find videos outside of YouTube, if you aren&rsquot lucky enough to own one of the phones supported by YouTube for Mobile. At Blinkx.com, you can use their search engine to analyze each video to find the specific one you are looking for. MeFeedia.com is a great search engine which uses social networking to discover what videos your friends are watching. Even more popular, at Truveo.com you can take a look at the most frequently Tweeted videos out there.

But those are just the search engines. Boxee is a website that accesses video from a number of sources, including YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix. You see, any cell phone user can now locate videos online and show them off using their mobile device. You just had to know which tools were available in order to begin playing around and having fun.

So go ahead, use your free Wi-Fi cell phone and find that video you’ve been looking for. With the top free cell phones available, you may as well use them for all the capabilities they can provide you.
